Hi, my name is Adrienne Kalbacher.

I am 31. My pronouns are she/her. I am bisexual and I have an amazing boyfriend of 10 years named Kristopher. I also have two amazing dogs named Dobby and Nova who are 14 and 4.

I am also on a very long mental health journey. At 21 I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, a couple of years later ADHD was added, and about a year ago both my therapist and psychiatrist encouraged me to be tested for Autism, but money, insurance, and the healthcare system have not made it that attainable at this time.  I mention all this because they play a huge part in my art and my abilities.

Now let’s move on to what this website is for. I am kinda a jack of all trades type artist, but I started with photography. I graduated with a fine arts degree in 2016 and quickly realized networking is how you grow as an artist and that is not my strong suit. I have been jumping around to different office jobs telling myself it’s worth it for the health insurance and financial security. But I have been in a job limbo for 2 years now, struggling to find an office job. In the meantime, I have been a caretaker and personal assistant for my mother whose spine was injured by a surgeon in January of 2023 and has been wheelchair-bound since. But that’s not my story to tell, but it’s a part of my journey.

I have been making art, but I rarely share it. And seldom attempt to sell or do commissions. And I think that’s my plan with this website. My lovely boyfriend and friends encouraged me to make this website to sell my art and possibly work on that whole networking thing. This whole thing is a work in progress like I am.
